How do you begin the process of starting a DUI class?

Community organizations or counseling centers typically offer DUI classes to prevent repeat offenses. Many states require offenders to complete certain hours to reinstate their licenses.

The class cost can vary depending on the provider but is typically around $125. Some classes may be covered by insurance.

To find a DUI class in your area, you can contact your state’s Motor Vehicle Department call us here at Cornerstone DUI. Once you’ve found a few options, you can compare pricing and schedules to find the best fit.

You may also want to check with your employer to see if they offer discounts for completing a DUI class.

What Should I do to Prepare for an Online DUI Class?

If you’ve been charged with a DUI, you may be required to take an online class as part of your sentence. Taking an online class is different from attending a traditional in-person class, so it’s important to be prepared.

Online DUI Class Tips

Create a designated work space: You’ll likely spend several hours each week completing your online class, so creating a comfortable and distraction-free workspace is important.

Dedicate a specific area in your home to your class and ensure it has everything you need, including a laptop, printer, and reliable internet connection.

Set a schedule: One of the benefits of an online class is that you can complete the work at your own pace. However, setting aside regular time for your class is still important. Create a schedule and stick to it as much as possible to stay on track.

Get organized: Organize all of your materials before you start the class so that you know where everything is and can easily find what you need. This will save you time and frustration when completing assignments or taking tests.

Be proactive: Don’t wait until the last minute to start your class or do your assignments. Being proactive will help ensure you understand the material and complete the class.

These tips can set you up for success in your online DUI class.

How Online DUI Classes Work in Arizona

Online DUI classes are put together in modules that are accessible online. It’s very similar to how online college courses are taken. You must complete one assignment in order to move on to the next. The modules automatically detect when you’ve completed a video, read an assignment, or completed an assignment.

These online DUI modules will also include graded quizzes that you must complete.

What Will I Need to Take an Online DUI Class?

In order to take the class, you’re going to need is a device to take the class on. Cornerstone’s DUI classes can be taken on mobile devices, tablets, desktops, and laptops.

If you deem it necessary, you’ll also need a notebook to take notes on what you learn. Taking the class online makes things much easier.

How Will the Court and MVD Know I’ve Taken a DUI Class?

When you are required to take a DUI class as part of your sentence for driving under the influence, the court will assign you to a specific provider. You will be given a document you must give to the class provider, which they will then use to register you for the class.

Once you have completed the class, the provider will send a certificate of completion to the court. The court will then send a notice to the Motor Vehicle Division (MVD) informing them that you have fulfilled your requirements and can reinstate your driver’s license.

Cornerstone DUI will provide the court with proof of completion, such as a screenshot of your certificate or a printout of your transcript. We help you from beginning to end!
